The Procedure Access: A catheter is inserted through the skin into a large artery (usually in the groin or arm) and guided to the aorta.Contrast: A contrast dye (X-ray dye) is injected through the catheter, making the blood vessels clearly visible on X-ray screens. Imaging: X-ray images are captured to map blood flow and pinpoint structural issues. Recovery: After the procedure, pressure is applied to the insertion site to stop bleeding, and patients must lie flat for several hours to prevent complications.
